Superdrug Haul!

So i had to go into town, to pay the deposit for our new flat, and decided to pop into Superdrug, as i had a bit of time to spare time before my bus.

While i was in there i had a little mooch around, and spied a few bits i thought looked quite good, and fancied trying out!

I had read somewhere that the St Ives Apricot Scrub was on buy one get one free, and as i had never tried it before i thought i'd give it a go. I like to keep my face all soft and smooth, especially in the summer, as it makes me feel more refreshed, and i think makes my tan stay longer, if my skin is in good condition. I got the Blemish Fighting, and the Invigorating ones. I quite like the smell of these, but i was kind of expecting them to smell of apricot, and have to say was a little disappointed. The Invigorating smells like Almonds/Marzipan (which i have to say i don't really like!) and the Blemish Fighting smells a bit flowery, but if they do the job, i am willing to overlook the scents. Will do a review in a couple of weeks, once i have given them time to work their magic!!

I picked up a Batiste Dry shampoo, as have heard great things about these, and HATE second day hair!! Having not tried these, i wasnt sure what to expect, or how to use them, but i had a quick look on youtube, and managed to find plenty of people explaining how to achieve good looks with them!

I had to obviously add to my Nail varnish obsession, so i bought 3 new BarryM nail paints in the colours:
292 - Navy,
293 - Grey
304 - Mint Green.
I have been coveting the Navy for months and months since my little sister bought one, and I saw how nice it looked on! I have a thing at the moment for grey/silver colours, and this one is really nice, also it looks good with a tan! And i had to get the green to finish off my ice-cream colour collection!

I had nearly run out of my Dove Summer Glow body lotion, this is a staple of mine all year round, i even use the body one on my face as i feel it gives me a really nice glowing colour, which no facial tanning moisturizer has done for me so far. Plus it was 1/2 price, so was a bargain!!

A few weeks ago i purchased one of the Beautyuk eyeshadow palettes, and was very impressed at the pigmentation for the price, so i grabbed a couple more today. I got the Bright Palette and the Natural Palette. The Bright one will be perfect for a friends Hen do that i am going to next weekend, the theme is 80's and fluorescent so this will be perfect!! And the Neutral one will be good for work, as we have to wear subtle makeup.

The last thing i bought was from the Superdrug 2true range, and its the Blush Pink tinted stain for lips and cheeks. I have wanted to buy Benefit's Posietint for a long time, but could never justify spending that much on something i might not like or even use, so i am glad i found a cheaper version of it. At just £1.50 this seems perfect, when applied to the cheeks it gives a nice flushed look, but can be applied to the lips for a more striking colour.

All in all I am very happy with my purchases!! Sorry it was a bit of a long post!! But hope you enjoyed reading it.

Glamour and Benefit

I luckily managed to get my hand on the three copies of Glamour Magazine, that had the Benefit goodies free with it. It took me 4 different shops to find all three!!

The 'Bad Gal' Eyeliner has a nice formulation, but when applied to the water line, doesn't look as black as some less expensive eyeliners, although i cant complain, as i only paid £2 for it!! I don't think i will repurchase this pencil, but as i didn't pay full price for it, i don't mind!

I am absolutely LOVING the 'Bright Eyes' pencil! The formulation is really smooth, and blends easily. I have never tried a product like that before, but I like what it does, and the effect it gives when on my eyes. This one will be a definite repurchase once i have finished it!!

I am quite lucky that my skin tone is similar enough to the 'It Stick' for me to be able to use it. This is a plus because i needed a new concealer, so it saved me looking for one! I love how smoothly it goes onto my skin, and  blends really well. This may be repurchased in the future, but I'm not 100% certain!

Swatches of the three pencils:

On another Benefit note I REALLY REALLY need a new Hoola, mine is completely DEAD :( it sucks, as I cant afford one currently, and as we are moving at the end of the month, I don't think I will be able to get one for a while :( it is pretty much my only staple makeup product (excluding mascara, which I cant live without!!) I love to look nice and bronzed, and hate looking pasty!!

That's all for now, I am planning a few new posts within the next few weeks, depending on how busy I get with packing!
